Brief Biography:

Ms Shazana Nisha Khan is an Assistant Lecturer in Accounting at Fiji National University’s Namaka Campus. She holds a Master of Commerce in Accounting and has completed her Bachelor’s and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting at the same institution. Miss Khan brings a wealth of practical industry experience to academia, having served in key accounting roles at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and the Raffe Hotels Group. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in quality assurance and student-centered learning, ensuring robust academic support and engagement.

She is currently pursuing her CPA qualification with CPA Australia (commenced in Semester 1, 2025), reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development. Miss Khan has authored two upcoming research publications in the International Journal of Accounting and Financial Reporting, including a solo paper on ethical failures in accounting and a co-authored work on carbon commitment disclosures. Her academic interests lie in ethics, environmental accounting, and sustainability frameworks.
