Brief Biography:
Arun Lata is a seasoned lecturer at Fiji National University (FNU) with 25 years of teaching experience. Before starting her academic career, she worked in the Economic, Planning, and Statistics Division at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. This background has provided her with valuable practical insights that she integrates into her teaching and research.
Her research interests focus on management accounting, particularly in areas such as shared value creation, sustainability, and the integration of spirituality and accounting. She is passionate about exploring how accounting practices can contribute to both economic performance and ethical, sustainable business conduct.
Throughout her career, Arun has been committed to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. She actively participates in curriculum development and employs innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and critical thinking, which is essential to support students’ academic and professional growth.
