Brief Biography:

Maheshwari Chand is a Lecturer at Fiji National University with over 19 years of dedicated academia experience in accounting education. She joined FNU in 2010, after nearly a decade of service at the FIJI Institute of Technology. Throughout her career, she has coordinated and taught a range of accounting units at diploma and degree level programs, in both the College of Business, Hospitality and Tourisms Studies (CBHTS) and college of Humanities and Education (CHE).

She has actively mentored students in industry attachment, career planning, and professional networking with key partners in the Fijian accounting profession. Maheshwari has participated in international research workshops, presented at local university conferences, and reviewed chapters for Auditing and Assurance Services in Australia (7th edition, textbook). She holds professional memberships with the AIB, IFA, IPA and is a Chartered Accountant with FICA-Fiji. She is currently pursuing her PhD focused on IFRS for SMEs adoption and compliance in Fiji.
