Unit Name: Implementation and Dissemination of Non Communicable Disease Research

Description: This course MPHNCD is designed for students to implement their NCD master thesis that consists of an original body of work based on individual NCD research, the analysis of an existing database, or a directed and comprehensive analytical review, such as a NCD Programme evaluation, of an existing body of literature or other sources.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to : 1. Implement the data collection procedures stipulated in the research proposal. 2. Implement data cleaning and management. 3. Synthesize the appropriate analyzing methods to test the hypothesis and answer the research question(s) in the research proposal. 4. Examine and evaluate research findings in a manner which links existing knowledge to the research proposal in a way that expands the current body of knowledge by highlighting and addressing a gap in the current literature. 5. Design the NCD thesis write-up findings for presentation and defense to a panel of content area experts from both within and outside Fiji National University. 6. Design the NCD thesis write-up in readiness for final presentation.
