Unit Name: New Media and Digital Technologies

Description: This course prepares students to utilize constructively different media and platforms, and to understand the affordances,constraints and uses of each medium. The course examines the historical development of the media, from print to online, focusing on the different structures and processes of each medium. Students will gain both theoretical knowledge on the principles of different media and practical experience in communicating usng each medium. The course also explores the debates and ideologies surrounding media use.
