Unit Name: Research Methodologies

Description: This course is 100% course-work based. It will introduce students to the main research methods in linguistics and applied linguistics, and obtain practical experience in undertaking a research project. It will cover topics ranging from research designs, processes, quantitative and qualitative approaches, literature review, collecting and analyzing data as well as writing a research paper. Students will submit a proposal on their chosen research project, conduct the research and present it in both written and oral formats.
