Unit Code: HTS702

Unit Name: Travel and Tourism Management

Description: The definition of marketing in the travel and tourism industry is now a very powerful force that influences everyone in every aspect of their lives, and there seems little evidence that this situation will change in the short term, at least. It is a continuous learning process and an experience that daily redefines the leading edge of business practice in consumer centric organizations. This course assumes that the students already have a good general knowledge of how the travel and tourism industry works. Whilst working through this course the students will conduct an analysis of an organization, develop marketing strategies for the organization and plan implementation, monitoring and evaluation methods for these strategies.
