Unit Name: Food and Beverage Service Management I

Description: Food and Beverage Industry encompass challenges in operations of restaurants and other establishments that prepare and serve meals and beverages to customers. Food & service managers ensure that customers are satisfied with their dining experience. The Food and Beverage industry incorporates approaches to oversee the inventory and ordering of food, equipment, and supplies and arrange for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the restaurant\'s equipment and facilities. This course will provide students with the opportcoursey to enhance their passion with the Food & Beverage service management skills that are essential for success in today?s Food and Beverage Industry in the South Pacific Island Countries. This course aims to provide students with skills and knowledge in the areas of eating and dining, bartending and dining service, Cost Control, Financial Success, Service Leadership, Customer satisfaction and Human Resource Management. Through our internship programmeme, students should be able to become familiar with the practicalities of working in the Tourism Industry mainly in the South Pacific Region and be marketable abroad in areas such as Eating and Dining, Bartending and Dining Service.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: The student must have passed form Seven [7] or consent from HOS,HOD. For matured students must have relevant 3years industry experience or equivalent.
