Unit Name: Communication Literacy

Description: This course offers learners the opportcoursey to grasp various components of Communication, the mechanics of academic writing, and methods of referencing sources and readings in order to avoid plagiarism. Students will also learn to plan, prepare and present seminars. This course will enable students to use correct and appropriate spoken and written English for Communication purposes such as writing letters, memos, CVs and essays. Students will also utilise word processing and PowerPoint, and information technology skills that will enable them to adapt to the world of academic research using university library facilities.
