Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to prepare framing for plasterboard works. The preparation includes but not limited to timber and steel framing with external and internal corners addition with simple curves to the framing. Ceiling framing will also be incorporated in this practical task to give participants a simulation for an office area. This unit includes hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to construct framing for the plasterboard. The knowledge and the skills will enhance the participants to prepare a plumb and straight wall and ceiling framing as per dimension given in the sketch or plan.
