Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required imparting to the participants the knowledge and skills required for block laying and so includes specific detail on selection of blocks, preparation of material, mixture of mortar and the construction of basic block wall modules. This unit also includes batching of plaster by given ratio which involves calculation of each ingredient of plaster by volume of dry mix and wet mix. The underpinning knowledge will assist participants to understand the curing of plaster on site and also transportation of blocks and plaster within the site.
