Programme Description
This module of competency covers the use common of hand and power tools in plumbing work applications. People credited with this module are able to demonstrate basic knowledge of engineering workshop tools, processes portable and fixed machine tools, applying safety requirements throughout the work sequence, electrical safety requirements and the use of personal protective clothing, safe operating of ten different hand tools and five different power tools for their appropriate application.
The competencies encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National Qualifications for Plumbing Trade.
