Programme Description

This module is designed to meet the requirements of participants in maintenance and comfort of process cooling for air conditioning workers. The trainees should be able to understand the regulatory requirements regarding the maintenance of cooling towers in order to control Legionella. They will be able to describe the different types of cooling water systems and summarize different types of cooling towers and how they are serviced. The type of water treatment and sampling and safety and cleanliness of cooling towers, and understanding decontamination procedures   The unit standards encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National Qualification for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade.
