Manual Pattern Developments


Pattern Making is an integral part of fashion designing. Pattern making coordinates skills with creativity. This unit will enable participants to produce basic blocks and do styling variations using the blocks.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Draft, Test and adjust basic Skirt, fitted bodice, sleeve, waist band and trouser blocks
- Transfer block to pattern board
- Lay and Cut fabric using the blocks
- Toile and assess fitting
- Identify various pattern markings

Target Group
The target audience includes Fashion designers, Product Developers, Tailors and aspiring and fashion enthusiasts.

Prerequisite:
The student must have some sewing machinist experience.
