Sunita joined FNU in October, 2015. Coming from the field of Management and Administration she has more than 3 years of experience in HR and Recruitment with the backdrop in manufacturing and retail. At DPD, Sunita provides administrative and secretariatsupport to the Director. Her responsibilities include: documenting the minutes of meetings and following up on action points pertaining to planning and development issues discussed in Senior Management Group meetings; ensuring the completion of all action items as per the deadlines; assisting the Director in developing budgets for the Division, projects & activities.

Sunita holds a Bachelor’s degree double majoring in Management & Public Administration and Economics (2012). She currently pursues her Postgraduate Diploma in Management & Public Administration at the University of South Pacific.

Kriti joined FNU in 2014. She carries out administrative duties of the office and assists the section heads  in compiling and proper filing of the reports; maintaining confidential access to information and division’s  files. Currently she is pursuing her Bachelors in Management and Marketing at the Fiji National University.

Qualifications/Expertise

Amit joined FNU in January 2017. He is responsible for working with the Director Planning & Development to develop and implement the University’s alumni relations strategy. His responsibilities include alumni engagement, customer service, alumni communications and direction of alumni events, advice and guidance in managing relationship with alumni. He develops strategies to achieve the objectives of the University’s current priorities and future goals for alumni.

Amit holds a Bachelor of Education Degree majoring in Education and Economics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from University of the South Pacific and is currently enrolled in Masters of Commerce program. He brings extensive field experience from the education arena as he served in the Ministry of Education for 17 years as Teacher, Head of Department, Assistant Principal, Vice Principal and Principal.

Sharon holds a Masters in International Trade from the University of Valladolid, Spain. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology from the University of the South Pacific.

Dr. Asaeli T. Tuibeqa

Responsibilities
Responsible for the implementation of the Development Office activities and adhering to various FNU policies including the monitoring and evaluation of key deliverables as espoused in the Divisions business plan. 

Qualifications/ Expertise
Dr. Tuibeqa is going through a transition into academia after spending over 30 years in local corporate organisations.  A UK trained development economist with development and commercial banking experience in Fiji. In addition he has management experience in both public and private sector organisations in the areas of project management, planning and budgeting, project (programme) development, market research, sales training, policy analysis and marketing. Had a three year stint in the Office of the Prime Minister and was instrumental in the compilation of the 2005 AAP Annual Report. He recently attained a PhD from Victoria University Melbourne. His PhD thesis examined SME support services in Fiji using an indigenous phenomenological approach. His findings shed light on the factors attributing to the failure of support services that are designed to enhance SME growth and confirmed a mismatch between market demand and supply.

Komal joined the Development Office in March 2015. Her work areas include engaging in activities related to preparation, drafting and facilitating activities leading to signing of MOUs, MOAs and other agreements. Komal provides comprehensive support in the areas related to educational initiatives, collaborations, sponsorships and grants, research and data collection related to university development projects. Komal overlooks the organization of all development office events including donors’ roundtables, workshops, seminars, public lectures and events co-hosted with development partners and government.

She graduated from Fiji School of Medicine with the Bachelors in Public health in 2013 and is currently pursuing her Post–Graduate Diploma in Development Studies. Currently Komal strengthens her skills in writing research proposals.

In particular, he is responsible for the implementation of Quality Management Systems; the delivery of highest quality and standards of teaching and training at all FNU locations;achieve national and international accreditation of all programmes by Professional and Trade Bodies (PTB) and ensure the implementation of Teaching, Learning and Assessment Policies and Plans.

Prior to joining FNU, Parneet worked at the Fiji Higher Education Commission as Senior Professional Officer Qualification and Standards Development, Audit and CBT Implementation Officer.  Parneet was at the Ministry of Education as a Teacher and Teacher Administrator.

Rohit joined FNU in 2015. He is responsible for the coordination of Internal Evaluation and Review (IER) of FNU programmes. Rohit works closely with the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC) in conducting External Evaluation and Review (EER) of academic programmes. Rohit is also responsible for the submission of applications for accreditation/registration of FNU programmes. In this capacity, he scrutinizes the University applications, prepares the documentation required, ensures that the deadlines of submissions are met and follows up with FHEC/Committees for the Accreditation of University Qualifications (CAUQ)/Fiji Qualification Council (FQC) on the progress of applications. In addition to these duties, Rohit conducts research in regards to the accreditation requirements of national, regional and international accreditation bodies.
